Joseph Kony is one of the world’s most vicious criminals. He is the evil leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), who for over 25 years has been terrorizing small African communities, killing innocent families and abducting young, innocent children, both boys and girls and forcing them into the sex slave trade and into fighting and killing as soldiers in his army.
Why am I blogging about Joseph Kony and the film KONY 2012?
Because most of us don’t know about Joseph Kony or the extent of what he is doing to our friends. My hope is that this blog post reaches you and that you take the few minutes to watch the film. I hope that it grabs your heart like it did mine, and that it motivates you to speak and share and take part in putting a stop to Joseph Kony and freeing the child soldiers.“KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.”

Joseph Kony is the world’s worst war criminal. He has abducted more than 30,000 kids in Central Africa and forced them to become child soldiers in the LRA and uses young girls for rape slaves. For the last 26 years, he and his crimes have essentially been invisible. No one has stopped him. KONY 2012 is about bringing Joseph Kony into the light and raising awareness for his actions. Once awareness is raised, it is believed that people will unite to see that he is arrested.

A while ago I blogged about a book called Noah and the Dream Boat. It is a book me and my hubby are working on. It is almost finished! Here is a quick shot of one of the illustrations :)
This is NOAH TRON. He’s just getting ready to enter the Tron Toddler Arena, where you don’t wear black unitards, you wear baby jeans and dinosaur sweaters.
Incidentally, I put in a bid to name Noah Tron when we first got pregnant. I thought we’d carry on the Jo(h)n legacy to the 4th generation and call him Jon Tron Boerger. That got vetoed pretty fast, though.

Note: The first design—black on grey—is meant to be a contrast of texture more than a contrast of shade or colour. In the print version, the poster will be printed on stock with a matte finish, while the black text will be finished with a glossy veneer.
